Murder Mystery Success

Unique event in Meagher County was well attended.

On Friday, October 27 the Montana Roadhouse hosted a Murder Mystery Dinner beginning at 5 p.m.The event began with a cocktail hour before moving into a special interactive dinner. The theme for the unique occasion was 1920s. Tickets were required for the spooky affair and were nearly sold out ten days prior to the dinner. While a delicious dinner was being served by the Montana Roadhouse staff, a puzzling plot was unfolding directly in front of guests’ faces. A group of special actors meandered around the event, interacting with guests and one another while simultaneously putting on a mystifying display of thrills and a random death. The actors stayed in character throughout the entire evening. The specialized show was described as ‘skit-like’ by attendees. Those who were at the party event were challenged to solve the mystery of who was the killer by the end of the night. In their interactions with guests, the actors dropped various clues and hints as to who was guilty. All partygoers were encouraged to listen carefully to all conversations and to watch closely for any hidden cues. Within the plot of the night, after the “Husband” actor met his demise, he became the “Sheriff.” The Sheriff then picked a sizable group of guests to become witnesses to help solve the murder conundrum. After picking witnesses, three attendees were selected as prosecutors for each of the remaining acting characters of the plot. After an interrogation, all in attendance were asked to chose their pick of who they believed to be the hidden killer by clapping and cheering. In the end, the “Wife” was revealed to be the mystery murderer. Guests were encouraged (but not required) to follow the 1920s theme and almost all in attendance showed out in their best costumes. Several decorations were used to transform the building into appearing as if it were 100 years ago. The Montana Roadhouse has been praised by several community members for the spectacular Halloween event. Pictures via Montana Roadhouse Facebook Page.
